WHAT IS SPARK? OUR BEGINNER-FRIENDLY PROGRAM EXPLAINED
Feb 3, 2026
Spark is The Forge's beginner-friendly program. But let's be clear about what that means, and what it doesn't mean.
Spark is not a watered-down workout. It's not a "baby" version of our flagship Ignite program. It's a thoughtfully designed program for people who are new to functional fitness, returning from an injury, or anyone who needs smart modifications.
What Spark includes: - A coach-led warm-up designed to prepare your body for the work ahead - A strength or skill segment with scaled movements appropriate for your level - A conditioning piece designed for your current fitness level - Active coaching throughout, someone watching your form, adjusting your load, and encouraging you
Who Spark is for: - People who have never done functional fitness before - Athletes returning from injury or managing physical limitations - Anyone who wants a lower-intensity entry point into coached training - People who want to build a foundation before progressing to Ignite
What Spark is not: - A permanent category, you'll progress when you and your coach feel ready - A judgment, plenty of experienced athletes do Spark when returning from injury - Easy, it's appropriately challenging for where you are right now
The best way to understand Spark is to come in for a free class. Your coach will walk you through everything.
